Once upon a time, in a small town called Beaverville, there lived a man named Brian. Brian was a clumsy fellow with a heart as big as a beaver's dam. He frequently loved driving around, but unfortunately, he wasn't the luckiest driver on the road.

One night, as Brian was driving through Beaverville, he spotted two furry beavers scurrying across the street. "Dam!" Brian had a hard time not imagining hitting at least one of them. He heard a "thump" and knew he had made a mistake. It was totally unintentional, but Brian felt terrible nonetheless.
He knew, as a gentleman, that he had an obligation to check on the beaver. Despite everything, he couldn't help but chuckle at the situation. Upon laying eyes on it, he sighed, "That's the biggest, furriest beaver I've ever seen!"

In a heightened state of adrenaline and confusion, Brian knew what he had to do: Bury that beaver.
He gently embraced it, laying it in a comfy spot in the forest. "I know how much beavers love good wood," he thought to himself. After a moment of silent reflection, he departed for home to forget about the whole incident.
One night later, something strange happened. Thump! Thump! Thump! There was a strange thumping sound coming from the back seat of his car. He glanced at his rearview mirror and saw two little beady eyes peering back at him. "Could it be? This tail is back to haunt me?" he wondered, his heart skipping a beat. Sure enough, last night's beaver had returned!
While Brian expected an angry beaver, it became clear it was more of just a general nuisaunce. It would pop up unexpectedly in the mirror, making funny faces, mimicking Brian's expressions, and telling him it missed him. That big, furry beaver would even occasionally leave a telltale moist trail on the car's dashboard.
Despite its annoying antics, Brian occasionally yearned for the beaver, especially when he was feeling a little melancholy at the local watering hole. It became a lifelong companion, and Brian became a legend with the residents of Beaverville.
And so, dear children, this tale teaches us to find joy in life's little accidents, to laugh at our own mistakes, and to cherish the unexpected friendships that come our way. The moral of the story is: Don't accidentally hit a beaver or you might be stuck with that tail for the rest of your life!
